Photojournalism / Journalism Intern

 

Get great clips! We are looking for motivated journalism and photojournalism students. Duties include writing, photography, copyediting and event calendar compilation.

 

Qualifications

  • UF or SFC student (Juniors and up)

  • Magazine and Feature Writing classes preferred

  • Completed (or enrolled in) Reporting

  • Working knowledge of digital photography

  • Completed (or enrolled in) Photographic Journalism a plus

Freelance Photojournalist

Our Town and Senior Times rely greatly upon the contributions of freelance writers. If you meet our qualifications, please upload one published clip along with completing the form below.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Internet access

  • Adobe InCopy, Microsoft Word or a Text/Edit program

  • Journalistic knowledge of writing and reporting – including familiarity with AP style guidelines (must own the current version of the Associated Press Stylebook)

  • Working knowledge of digital photography

  • The ability to shoot and deliver high-res digital photos

  • Resident of the Gainesville area (preferred)
